I experimented tons of different recipes for a keto bread, and I’ve been so disappointed for wasting expensive ingredients until I finally found a recipe that’s the BEST KETO BREAD EVER!

Can I use coconut flour instead of almond flour?
In this particular recipe, it’s essential to use the ingredients I’m suggesting. Do not try to make any substitutions. All the ingredients are important especially the protein powder and xanthan gum. While this might work with coconut flour instead of almond flour, I haven’t tested it, yet!
What kind of protein powder should I use in the keto bread?
To make high-protein, low carb bread, you have to use Unflavored Whey Protein Isolate. The protein helps replicate the texture of bread without and it’s used instead of the gluten that’s usually found in wheat flour.
Here are a few brands of protein powders you can use to make this low carb bread:
- Impact Whey Protein Isolate from MyProtein (This is the brand I used in this recipe)
- Isopure Low Carb Protein Powder, 100% Whey Protein Isolate
Important: Do not use soy isolate or flavored protein powder!
